Results of the Certu's counterparts survey

This study was conducted at Certu’s request with a view to enhancing knowledge of its counterpart organisations and potential partners in three countries located in the European Union: Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. This approach aims to make it easier for Certu teams to identify potential partners at a European level and to obtain a better understanding of their fields of activity and expertise. When completed, the study should pave the way for bilateral cooperation in collaboration with some of the organisations identified in this report, and the implementation of advisory networks on a European scale. Each country is the subject of a topical summary that presents the national institutional context and how its competencies are organised and distributed at government and local levels in the areas of activity that fall within Certu’s scope. Information concerning potential Certu partners contained in this study was taken from two principal sources: the organisations’ websites - visited frequently to select relevant information used to draft the report interviews with several members of Certu personnel who have already established working relations with members of some of the organisations described in the report.

The report’s reach is increased with the addition of results from a mail survey, based on the distribution of questionnaires. The survey targeted the majority of counterpart organisations identified in this study and shall be used to check and complete the gathered information.
