15-04-2008
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual meeting is an event devoted to the theme of transport, which takes place every year in January. It brings together all the players in this sector: universities, researchers, local authorities, consultants, etc. It mainly concentrates on American experiences, but also includes presentations and contributions from other parts of the world.
In 2008, 10,000 people attended this conference which took place in three hotels. A shuttle service linked the three hotels. The theme of Public Transport was located in the Hilton hotel. A CD-ROM and booklet contain all the presentations given. Robert Clavel gave a presentation on "ITS developments in public transport: applications to transport on demand, car pooling and traveller information" and also on "The public transport platform-vehicle hiatus" (replacing Maryvonne Dejeammes). You can download his report as an attachment (in French only).
