Urban road safety campaigns

In order to communicate effectively on the subject of road safety, local authorities can use materials from national campaigns and add their logo to show their support. To do this, they must first contact the PR service of the Road Safety Department:

Certain local authorities produce their own road safety campaign materials on themes that are particularly relevant to their local contexts. At their request, a working group run by Certu was launched on 3 December 2008 in order to encourage discussions and exchanges of ideas on the subject of road safety campaigns at local level. A number of interesting points have already been made: for example, one observation highlighted the converging needs of many authorities and the advantages of sharing good practices, while another highlighted the potential benefits of being to be able to easily find out what materials are being produced by other local authorities. It was therefore proposed to make available PDFs (in a low-resolution format) containing communication tools and/or a web link where these tools can be found, as well as details of who to contact within each authority. The aim of this last measure is to make it possible for interested local authorities to enter into direct contact with the authority that produced a particular communication tool.
