Improving our knowledge concerning accidents is essential to defining an appropriate road safety policy, both for Certu studies and for local studies. In addition to simply processing data from accident reports and traffic violation tickets, it is essential to upgrade to a new generation of software, introducing new architectures and improving compatibility with the diverse formats of geographical and ergonomic design guides. We need to continue developing performance indicators, including indicators of the exposure to risk for the purposes of monitoring and assessment.
