This study topic deals with water management in urban areas, i.e. rainwater and waste water collection and treatment (but not drinking water), within the framework of sustainable development. It covers management of the risk of flooding, pollution control and integration in urban policy. Certu’s action is aligned with changes in the regulations, particularly the EU Water Framework Directive and France’s recent Clean Water Act.
