The different transport networks (roads, bikes, metro, ground-level public transport in urban areas, and public transport services at departmental and regional level, etc.) have long been developed independently of one another. Intermodality, linking these different modes of transportation together, is now the focus of potential improvements to public transport services. In light of this, particular attention will be given to multimodal information systems and interoperable ticketing for passengers. A specific approach will also be developed with regard to park-and-ride facilities.
