6 April 2009
The Certu Steering Committee, chaired by André Rossinot – mayor of Nancy and president of the CNFPT (French National Centre for Local Government) and the FNAU (French National Federation of Urban Planning Agencies) – will take place on 3 March at Certu’s offices. The main theme on the agenda will be the drafting of a Certu resources and objectives agreement (contrat d’objectifs et de moyens in French), in accordance with the Grenelle environment forum, which will involve five key lines of action to "Promote Sustainable Cities".
The groundwork for this project has provided an opportunity to redefine the scope of Certu’s work, with greater importance attached to action resulting from the Grenelle environment forum, as well as European and international activities. Accordingly, Certu will become a resource centre for everything to do with cities and urban life, and will constitute a "meeting point" between a number of key actors in the field of urban development.
