Resume
Nowadays, the consultation process is an essential part of setting up any project. However, the art of bringing together those involved, at the development stage of a project, poses recurrant questions whatever the context. Who should be involved? How representative are these participants? How can one give a voice to those who are silent? How much can be left open to negotiation? What rules should be set so that decision-makers, experts and stakeholders can all play their part? What is the best way of setting up the project: starting with a common diagnosis? developing several alternatives? or deciding to develop the project step by step? What timetable should be set to allow for the project to grow whilst also keeping a positive momentum? This book draws on several case studies in tackling the above problems and aims to give the reader the analytical tools to choose the most appropriate working method for their particular project.
