On parle généralement de GDV (Gestion Dynamique des Voies). Ce concept trouve place dans un ensemble plus vaste : celui des mesures de gestion dynamique du trafic, qui comprend notamment la régulation des vitesses, la régulation des accès, l’interdiction de doubler pour les poids lourds, les délestages (ou « re-routages »), les modulations tarifaires, l’information des usagers, et enfin, bien sûr, la gestion dynamique des voies. Toutes ces mesures ont généralement pour objectif d’améliorer l’écoulement des trafics, et aussi de différer la mise en œuvre d’aménagements lourds (élargissement des infrastructures existantes, voire même réalisation de nouvelles infrastructures).Mais d’autres objectifs (ou conséquences indirectes) sont également à considérer, notamment la sécurité routière, l’environnement, etc. Le présent document fournit un état de l’art, en France et à l’étranger, de la GDV.
